Janette Boskett’s work on exhibition at Staithes Gallery

Janette Boskett lives on the North York Moors about four miles from Staithes where she and her husband run a delightful guest house. In June 2000 she fulfilled a long held ambition and gained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from York University as a mature student.
Her inspiration comes from the wonderful landscapes of the moors and coast where she lives, though she also delights in the shapes and textures of objects as a still-life painter. Her work combines still-life and landscape in gently surreal paintings that often have a slightly quirky edge.
She has exhibited in Newcastle, York, Scarborough, Helmsley and Whitby and is currently short-listed for the Ken Bromley Cover Competition.
