Time has flown by and now it seems we’re hurtling towards Staithes Festival of Arts and Heritage 2019! We’ve got loads of treats in store. Last year I think everyone enjoyed our lovely new exhibition spaces in the beautiful newly converted Wesleyan Chapel. Well here we go again! Ian Burke’s show Hanging it out to Dry with some superb installations featuring cut-out fish, lobsters and crabs will take place in the Sunday School, while Rob Shaw has been working all year on a brand new series of simply stunning paintings which will be on show in Love Divine on the top floor of the chapel. You could just hang out in these two beautiful exhibitions all weekend, we know, but there’s so much else to see as well. And don’t forget the Gallery itself where we have some wonderful work from some of our favourite artists plus some new ones to delight you too.
